fight the crime that no 'normal' police force or army could
handle.
Borne from the remains of
Stormwatch, The Authority is the law outside the law.
One thing 'different' about the characters in The
Authority, is that Apollo and Midnighter are openly gay.
But, all credit to the writers and artists, the relationship
is handled very well. Neither character is feminised or
depicted as camp and weak.
These are kick-ass superheroes with attitude, who
are also shown being caring and tender to each other.
