The Sum Of Us
Summary:
A young gay Australian man tries to find 'Mr Right' or even just 'Mr Right Now' with the full blessing, and sometimes annoying cooperation of his father.
Review:
This is a lovely movie, and really is Russell Crowe at his best. He's a typical, macho, no bullshit Aussie bloke, who just happens to like other macho, no bullshit blokes. His father, tries his best to encourage his son, and even help out at times, sometimes with disastrous consequences.
Subplots concerning the young man's grandmother, who was a lesbian, and the father's search for love, only add to the poignancy and charm of the movie.
Recommended viewing, funny, charming and sweet.
